Smart Phones--or so they say....

Just because I am of a certain age does not mean I am anti-tech. On the contrary--I embraced it and became known by my grandkids as a grandma-geek lol. The one piece of technology that I simply can no longer abide is the cell phone or worse--the smart phone that does everything but serve you dinner. Why? Well besides the fact that the only smart in cell phones are the creators and phone companies. It is the single largest hoax ever perpetrated on the human race since the dark ages. I do not understand smart people being taken for the amount of money to have and keep operating this gadget. Now they have become a must have for many in business and school--landline phones are all but obsolete. Besides my feelings on cost etc...my main issues are all the problems that have come with the use of cell phones. There is an etiquette when using cell phones but I have yet to meet the person who bothers to follow the basic manners of use. This subject will be my next post.....

Just Saying

Its official--this crazy hippie chic is now a Senior (how I hate that word). I do not hate getting older but oh how I detest most of the terminology used to describe the process of aging. Senior citizen (what was I before?), elderly, old and older--you get the drift. This blog is not going to be me complaining about the aging process but one does not reach this point without learning a few things. As I take on this blogging journey I hope to pass on news, views and humor from somewhere between 60 and 70 :) Later
